The Alberta Lamb Producers (ALP) Director-in-Training Program was developed to engage membership and stimulate Board succession planning. A Board appointed eligible producer may participate in ALP Board meetings as a non-voting director to gain exposure to how the ALP Board operates and to become familiar with a number of topics that are critical to the current and future industry.
A Director-in-Training must be an eligible producer as defined by Alberta Lamb Producers Plan Regulations. Producers who are interested in the program should apply by submitting a letter of interest to the ALP office explaining why they might like to be an ALP Board Director. The Board of Directors will consider the application and carry a motion to appoint the producer as a Director in-Training.
